Meet Monica
Monica Robb Blasdel is a lifelong resident of Columbiana County and serving her first term as State Representative for Ohio’s 79th District. Monica is a graduate of Crestview High School (Columbiana), and she obtained her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Akron in 2005. She holds a minor in Entrepreneurship. Her passion for business and workforce began during her collegiate years.
Monica understands the value of challenging work and the dedication needed to make industry succeed. Monica started her professional career working for her family’s small business in Columbiana County. She worked several years in the private sector, gaining experience in retail, sales, and marketing while connecting with business owners and CEOs all over Northeast Ohio.
Monica joined the Lt. Governor’s team in 2011. She has served a 23-county region in Northeast Ohio, working closely with local, state, and federal government elected officials, state agencies, and business organizations throughout the state for the betterment of Ohio. She has experience in education and workforce, as well as regulatory reform and broadband expansion projects. Monica has a passion for public service and is dedicated to her community.
Monica is the daughter of Court of Appeals Judge, Carol Ann Robb and Kenneth W. Robb of New Waterford. She is married to Chuck Blasdel, Former Speaker Pro-Tempore of the Ohio House of Representatives. They reside in Columbiana, Ohio, with their daughters, Presley and Raegan.
